I've spent 33 months of my life deployed and a total of 8 years training myself and my soldiers, shed my own blood as well as our country's enemies, lost many friends in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting for America and what we stand for as a country. All immigrants that come to this country have one primary answer of why they want to be here "pursuit of happiness and opportunities". Myself, my friends, and my soldiers fight for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness not for someone to decide after over two centuries that they are wrong or misunderstood and that he should have the right to change or eliminate it. Illinois has the strictest gun laws in the US, yet Chicago has one of the highest gun related crimes in America. Wyoming and Montana have some of the most lenient gun laws and when was the last time that either of those two states was in the news for a gun related incident. It baffles me that a simpleton as myself can understand that we currently have laws against murder and robbery yet both of these still happen because criminals are not going to follow laws on paper. They will however respond to a trained certified teacher greeting that criminal that walks into their school with a wink and a bang. They will think twice before trying to run into a gas station knowing that the number of armed citizens have escalated to help individuals defend themselves. These people that want guns gone do not understand that the first time one of these guys come into a place where they are and harms a loved one they are going to beg someone with a gun to help, but in their support of heavy gun legislation no one will be able to do anything.
There ya go WC. Said better?
