.22LR is shaking free, as are reloading components. The overall atmosphere was one of the best in recent years. Most manufacturer's I spoke with were having their best shot in years.
The phenomenal: DPMS GII...redesign of the .308 pattern AR that makes the AR-10 a has been. All of the things I dislike about the .308 ARs were fixed. Engineering masterpiece. The new modular suppressor system from H&K, also an engineering masterpiece.
Honorable mention: The Remington R51, very well done. The VersaMax 3Gun...as close as it gets to ready to run out of the box. Yes, I had a hand in pushing the design, but Remington listened, and that is a feat in and of itself at times.
