Yep,...I think he probably keeps the 450b handy next to the "thunder mug" in case he needs to put it out of its misery some day...
Although, this might have been what he had in mind there, given that deer season is gittin' close:
https://images.search.yahoo.com/images/ ... .yahoo.comThat poster kind of reminds me of the time, years ago, when two of my cousins and I were quail hunting at my grandpa's farm. We had been out walking a huge harvested corn field all morning when the urge to drain the earth suits hit the three of us at the same time (took a
lot of coffee to get everyone's eyes open that early in the morning...) No women in sight, so, we decided to just stop, elbow the shotguns and un-holster the "sidearms" to take care of business right there. That's the instant that we discovered we had walked smack into the middle of a monster covey of quail that had been holding tight, hoping we'd just walk right past them, I guess. All was "going" as planned until the "rain" started falling, which finally spooked the covey, who all took off in a feathery roar, directly away in front of us. Now, we've got a decision to make: What to do?
Multi-taksing! Waiting for the rain to stop falling was not really an option, so, without saying a word, all three of us shouldered the shotguns and each gave 'em both barrels. Not bad...three doubles! Took a few more seconds to put things back where they started, and we trotted off to retrieve our birds. Thank God this was decades before anybody with a video cell phone could have posted anything to the internet without our permission...
