Mossy, there's a thread about some Barska's over here -

If you do buy it, let us know how it works. It's something I would be interested in myself.
Thanks

I have one.

So far it's been OK. This may be normal for an illuminated reticle, but since this my 1st experience with an IR scope, it may just be operator error, but even on the lowest brightness setting, near dusk, the green light will wash out / eliminate any images in the scope. On the brightest setting it screws with your night vision. In bight daylight it's fine, but then the black reticle works fine too. I bought it thinking it would be good to get that extra 10-15 min's of shooting time early morning and late evening.

9mm,

You might want to call the company up and ask them if it's normal, because to me, if'n ya-all kant see to shoot'em, ya-all kant kill'em.

Normally, the lowest setting should do great at night and barely be visible, at that setting. It will be so low, in intensity, that you can't see the lighted reticule in the day light, when using that low setting, but still have a setting available that will light the reticule into visibility, on the brightest day, even on the snow..
