Dawg,

I don't know why everyone is asking you about "why the flat nosed 230gr FMJ's".
They make a louder "Bong" when they hit your sheet of plate steel.
And. . . . .It should be plainly obvious: They tenderize the meat better than the pointy FTX's.

Keep up the great work! Your videos are a MUST SEE! Thanks.

Here is a good show and tell of why I personally like flat points.

That may not look like much, but the shock delivered by that flat point at the speeds I'm sending it are truly devastating. More surface area = more Thump.
Consider a Ball Peen Hammer. Round on one side, flat on the other. Each has it's own function.

Dawg, You cracked me up with your pictorial demo. I laughed for ten minutes!

Yeah, I see your point. But I don't think the pig will care one way or the other. Dayid is Dayid!!! Put either an FTX or an FMJ through the boiler-room of a hog less than 200yrds away and he's gonna go down. True, I am playing around with some of those FMJ's too, but its for economic reasons. Besides, who knows, after watching your videos, I might just want to shoot a pig hiding behind the engine block on a '58 LeSabre someday. (Hey, just thought, If I do that with a FMJ cartridge I side crimp, does the crimp then become an LLSC?

Ask the Hog hiding behind the land barge... LOL.
Before we put sand in the tires behind the back stop, I found a few of those FMJs that went through the railroad tie and those tires. Think about that.

Dawg,
You couldn't have possibly meant that they went all the way thru the 7/16" plate steel, thru a railroad tie, and then thru the tires did you?

LOL, I have encouraged Non-Expanding-FP's here (FMJ, Barnes Busters, etc.), from my Professional Hunting experience. But to be sure, many here, instinctively know why they use them. I however, can affirm field results and make the following statement unashamedly.."FMJ-FP types, and there are many versions, Disrupt more tissue than an expanded bullet and at the same time, they Penetrate FAR-MORE TISSUE, making over-all total damage to nerves, capillaries, and stuff, much more extensive." Do I use Pointy bullets,.."you better believe I do"! But, I quote myself.."When the Shots are Marginal and they are always Marginal, take enough gun". Meaning, Guns, Bullets, Loads, choose the right ones, for the mission and you'll never be let-down..

Oh no. These were just shots fired through about 7-8 inches of wood, and through two stacks of tires coming to rest in the dirt and clay behind them.

Dawg,
Thanks for the clarification. Now let's see, If I've got it straight:
If an insurgent wants to be safe from your 450 Bushy load, he's gotta' hide behind 7-8 inches of wood and two stacks of tires [b]as well as[b carry his own shield of 7/16" plate steel; and he's gotta be over fifty yards away? Is that correct???? Dang, who needs a hand cannon??? You've shown us the proof, This thing can pack a punch!

Best advice is to not come looking for me in the first place. I still have a few rifles that can pick cotton at 1000 yards.
