Only one I can think of off hand is Franklin Aromory, but there 450 supply has been lacking for quite a while. Other than that, it's build one yourself. It's not that hard, does require some tools though.

ya i think franklin is the only one doing a production one right now.

they have two barrel lengths - a 7.5 and i think a 12.5.

when i spoke with them, i was told the 7.5" was a "because we could" project but there was significant velocity loss when you got much below 12. at 7.5" the 450 bushmaster was essentially neutered from what it is due to the MV Numbers.

he didnt give me any specs of what they were seeing at the 7.5" size, but i'm sure if ya give them a call once they get settled back in from shot show that they would probably be willing to share that kind of info too.

im sure if you want one at 10.5" they could easily chop one of their 12.5" barrels down for you and rethread it, IIRC cut/thread with them was right around $100.

They do 7.5" and 11.5" barrels. As far as uppers they offer, I've only seen the 11.5" used. Also wouldn't recommend having work done to melonite barrels. The treatment (melonite) hardens the exposed metal, and adds corrosion resistance. Cutting into it could screw with the hardness of the metal that is left after cutting, and will most likely remove any corrosion resistance as well. If you have to have a 10.5", custom order a BHW, or look into a stainless barrel with a carbine length gas system, and have it cut down. Or maybe go with a pistol length gas system because of dwell time, not sure exactly. You will probably have to play with the gas port size on the barrel, but that's easy enough.

We're going to run off a batch of 10.5" barrels in the next couple of weeks.

Awesome. Mind if I ask if anything is going to be different with the 10.5" barrels? What I mean is twist rate or barrel profile.

Our 18" barrels are a light weight profile with a .750" gas block.

The 10.5's will be mid-weight barrels using .875" gas blocks. I prefer a bit heavier barrel profile if there is going to be a suppressor hanging off the end of it, and it also gives the can a larger shoulder to square up against.
