I'd really like the option of stuffing more than 8-9 rounds in a 20 rd 5.56 SS magazine under the bolt of the .450b build I'm planning.
Thanks!

I, too, prefer the straight 20 round mags. I have had success with both steel and polymer. The straight wall 450BM rounds don't handle the curve in the 30 rnd mag very well, so if you load them up to max, you will have feed problems. My suggestion is to have a couple extra 20 round mags that will hold 7 450BM rounds and practice tactical reloads, if you think you will need the extra capacity.
I can't think of an actual hunting experience, where you will need more than 7 rounds - except for hunting hogs from a helicopter, maybe. Some states restrict mag capacity for hunting, and if your going after hogs on the ground, good luck having any still in range after the first two or three shots.
