Looking at the dimensions of both cartridges in the Hornady loading manual, I'm betting on no. It looks like it will get close, but not quite there. Big thing I'm seeing is that the 45 colt is over .4" shorter, yet both cartridges are suppose to sized to .480" O.D. at their case mouth. I have a feeling you won't get proper tension on the bullet if you do it. It's worth trying, but I'm thinking it won't work.
