Got my Upper today, it came with a 5 round Mag. I put the upper on my lower and told the wife I was going to load 2 rounds in the factory mag so please leave the room.. The round did not load, tried it again, no go... I put 2 in a stock 223 Sig Polymer mag and no problem. Tried another brand of 450 BM mag and same problem as the factory mag. No big problem since the fix for my issue is likely just adjusting the lips.. Thanks Hoot for posting the mag fixes..I'll work on the metal mags later this week.

Look up "Lehigh XD 135 Feeding Issue", I have a couple pictures in there of how I run all my feed lips for 450B. Just to give a visual.

I polished the rough edges off of the inside bottom of the feed lips a few minutes ago.. I loaded a couple of rounds into the metal mags and cycled by hand, no problems they fed. I am hoping to fire my first rounds from my new gun tomorrow afternoon.

Good work Robert! The process referred to as "melting off" that is to say smoothing off the sharp edges on the barrel extension and even the bolt lugs, can work miracles on reducing the time needed to run in the AR action. Polishing the feed ramp(s) doesn't hurt either. Some of the higher end ARs come with chromed, nitrided or melonited surfaces which eliminate the need to melt them off as they're already slippery.

The weather man is calling for -20, not including the wind chill, the next three nights so the only thing firing around here will be the furnace!

-20? I think the coldest weather I have been in was 12 degrees F. It's 46 degrees here right now. I plan on polishing the feed ramps, going to try to shoot this afternoon.

No problems with feeding at range. I would have never thought to "melt/polish" the mag lips or adjust them..I did adjust the lips before leaving my house. I bore sighted by looking thru barrel, it looked good with out any adjustment...it was 5 inch low at 50 yards, went up a few clicks, got it 1/2 high at 50 yards. The fired brass was laying 7 ft away at the 4 o'clock position from the bench. I sighted in 3 inch high at 100 yards, gonna swab barrel drop 5 clicks and shoot a couple more hoping for 1.5 inch at 100 yards. I might hunt this afternoon??

Got a nice 140lb wild hog (sow) walking back to my truck this afternoon. The tweaked magazine worked as it should.
