Bear Creek Arsenal....opinions from owners

Considering the purchase of a BCA complete upper. Any owners have any input on quality, issues, accuracy? I’m on a tighter budget so my hobbies come after family and bills. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I don’t have their complete upper, but I built an upper using their 18” barrel(it was advertised as XXTreme Barrel Co, but it’s a BCA). It really surprised me how accurate it is. I’m happy enough that I’m building another with a BCA 16” barrel.

It’s EXTREMELY hard to build an upper for the same cost as BCA, but I have certain parts/brands that I prefer and won’t compromise on.

Thank you both so much for your reply. A cloverleaf at 100 is perfect enough for me. Deer down easily. I’m planning on the 16 inch and now I’m wondering if the 18 would have better accuracy. From what I gather, the extra speed of the 2 inches extra is very minimal. Not concerned on the velocity, only accuracy. Again, thanks for the help!!

I got one of the 18" uppers when they were on sale. I have not shot it yet, however I've looked it over very carefully looking for any obvious defects and I cannot find any. One thing I can say is that 18" is heavy. That may be a benefit for recoil mitigation. I've used a BCA side charging upper for my favorite 450 for 2 seasons now. I have no complaints about quality or functionality with that. I built that upper before BCA got into the 450 game.

Got an 18" upper. Just getting started with it. Had some issues, but not with the upper. I think the only negative I might have is that the chamber is a little rough. That happens with all low level vendors though as the cost of keeping reamers sharp is a hard thing at that price level. I'll polish it a tad and be good to go.

I've never gotten a full receiver from them, but I do have an 18" barrel which has shot very well for me. I do tend to buy their front handguards as they're cheaper.

Mine has been good - it's plenty accurate for my uses and you can't beat the price when they are on sale.

Here's a link to my first range report - with a picture of a target when sighting in my scope at 75 yards:

I have the full upper, but it's been way too cold to get out and shoot here in iowa these past couple weeks. It looks and feels like quality piece of equipment.
